The picturesque holiday region Alpbachtal offers the perfect trail for every hiker due to the wide variety of tours ranging from enjoyable trails to demanding summit ascents. More than 900 kilometres of signposted hiking and walking trails are available for our guests in our holiday region. The complimentary Alpbach Seenland Card allows our guests at the Gasthof Roßmoos to use all the mountain lifts in the beautiful Alpbachtal region free of charge, which therefore allows hikers to start their hike at a higher elevation or even come back down on a scenic lift after making their way up the mountain.

For delightful family outings, the Schatzberg and the Sonnenjoch mountains are highly recommended destinations for memorable alpine adventures. Experienced hikers can make their way up to the Gratlspitz mountain, and even challenge themselves to conquer the tour along the Sagteler Spitzen. All adventurers who would like to make their way up to the highest peak of the region can set out to make their way up to the very top of the Großen Galtenberg mountain, which is 2.424 metres above sea-level. Mountaineers can marvel at the stunning views, and from the top of the highest peak one can even see the Großvenediger mountain on a clear day.

Another fabulous way to spend some well-deserved relaxation after an active day is to let us spoil you in our cosy "Bauernstube" (transl. farmers' parlour") with delicious drinks, snacks, or meals. Our charming Gasthof is easy to find on your way from Alpbach to the Schatzberg along the Höhenweg trail.
